2G: clutch alignment tool

are all the tools the same/ universal or are they car specific?

I need one and wanted to know if I can use my buddy's from his honda??

They are vehicle specific. Not all transmissions have the same number if splines going into the clutch disk. And our cars don't have pilot bearings like some Honda's do so it's likely that tool doesn't have the extended nose like the one for a DSM.

It'd be nice if one alignment tool worked for all cars. But let's be realistic. No it won't work.
