JDM Tranny Questoin

I just ordered a JDM tranny for my 90 Eclipse GSX, he told me that its the same one off of the galant VR-4 and Eclipse they share the same trans. But what I was wondering is if anyone knows the Final Drive Ratio for the JDM version of the 1st Gen. Tranny? Thanks

i don't have an answer for you but rather a question...

i too have a 90 GSX and am in need of a 90 AWD manual tranny. can you give me some contact info on where you are getting this and the cost if you don't mind? and did they say the spline count on it was right for the 90 model?

I ordered Mine from Summit Rides Inc. I wouldnt really recommend them though, they have been a pain in the ass to get my tranny ship to me. But DSS has the tranny for $500ish with a 90 Day warrenty, the only reason i ordered mine from Summit was because they have a 3 year warrenty with there Trannys. I also had to pay $875 for the tranny too. Yes it will fit the 90 GSX, cause it is shipped with the transfercase as well. so they will both match up and thats the spline count match you need is between the tranny and transfer case. Hope this helps.

Would it be cheeper to get a new center diff or buy a jdm tranny with the center diff?
