I''m not sure what this goes in so I posted in this one general and electrical oh well, Ok here goes. I have a 95 GS-t sitting in front of me, what I have is a 6 bolt JDM motor, I just installed now when I turn the motor over it has this really bad grinding noise, I suspect wrong starter. what I have is a jdm 6 bolt, 95 gst tranny jdm meal spacer plate that goes inbetween the flywheel and block or actuallthe the spacer that spaces the tranny out ( you know that sheet meatl thing)I modified it so that the starter would fit I have a jdm 6 bolt fly wheel. with clutch. so let me recap

what I have
1. 6 bolt jdm motor
2. 6 bolt jdm flywheel
3. 95 gst tranny
4. 6 bolt jdm sheet metal plate in between trannny modified to hold s95 starter
5. 95 startor.

Questions

1, Do I need to change the sheet metal thing inbetween tranny and engine block with the 95 one?

2. Do I need to shange out the starter with a 1g starter so that the teeth line up with the 6bolt jdm flywheel?

3. Are the 1g starter and the second gen startor different.

4. Are the 6 bolt jdm flywheel and the 95 gst 2g flywheel different, besides the 6 and 7 bolts where they mount to the crank(do thay have the same number of teeth) and is the od the same,

If it's going into a 95 GST, you will need to use a 6 bolt, FWD flywheel, and most of the JDM flywheels are AWD. Next problem is that you will need to use the backing plate/dust shield from your 2G instead of the JDM one. This is the plate that goes between the trans and the block. Sorry to tell you this after you have it installed, but I found out this way too.
