here is 96 gst spyder gear ratio

1st Gear Rati 3.09:1
2nd Gear Ratio 1.83:1
3rd Gear Ratio 1.22:1
4th Gear Rati 0.89:1
5th Gear Ratio 0.74:1
Final Drive Ratio 4.15:1

awesome..thanks for the info guys.. according to the program with the information provided I can hit 123 mph @ 8500rpms in 3rd gear.. which means I should be able to finish my 1/4 mile in 3rd gear savign some time..

If you beyond your torque/HP peak, you are really not putting down any power after that though.... I would say try 3rd first and 4th for the second run. If you have cam, that should move your curve higher a bit.
Shift based on your Dyno sheet :D

that would be pretty insane.. I know Im getting 105 or so in 3rd right now as I have to shift to 4th right at the end of the track but yes I agree.. I have to base it on the dyno which I will do.. ofcourse that will just give me all the more reason to get a larger turbo to move up my power band :)

NJGSX96,
The AWD and FWD have different gear ratios. A FWD is capable of a higher mph then an AWD.

I forgot to mention that I don't think the link is for AWD cars, the reason for this is:
You need to know the gear ratio for the center diff & rear diff.

When is your car gonna be done anyway? Looking forward to that dyno graph!

in about 3 weeks or so.. hopefully sooner but I dont know to be positive.. It depends on the machine shop and how fast my mechanic works.. Im also thinking of upgrading the turbo while i have the car apart since I really dont think the Big28 is going to give me the kind of power I want but we'll see

Dang Larry!

To get there you will need one heck of an air pump (i.e. big turbo) and huge cams to move air through the engine! I imainge you are willing to accept some lag?

Kyle

I have Crower stage 2 cams which are a lil bigger then HKS 272s, I want to see what the big28 is capable of though Im sure its not gonna be up to the task, Im gonna see what it does and then start saving for either a Mutt or Green.. as for the problem with lag, well Im FWD so lag is acceptable, infact encouraged but the compression will be bumped up and the exhaust should flow pretty well to spool up the turbo pretty quick.. especially if I use nitrous like Ive been thinking of..
