sup guyz.... i have 91 awd talon a.t. and i was wondering if i swapped to a 1990 awd tranny do i have to get parts for that year's tranny to successfully complete the swap? or can i just use any other year? does anyone know how many splines are on a 91 at transfer case? sorry for all the questions....but feed back would be a lot of help for me...:dsm:

No parts needed unless you've broken anything, it's the same tranny as in your car, I believe all auto AWD 1G 6-bolt tranny's are 22 spline. I'm not sure about the 7-bolt but if you've got a 90 tranny you're fine! :D

As always if I'm wrong feel free to kick me in the nutz.

Hey!

Does anybody know what the difference between a 5 speed tranny in a 90' Eclipse GS and the tranny in a turbo car? I am doing an engine swap. I have a 90 Eclipse GS and I am taking the turbo engine out of a 91 Talon TSi, with an auto trans. I am told that you have to use a 5 speed from a turbo car and the one that's in the GS won't work. Is this true? Thanks.
