hey ya'll,
I have a 91 6-bolt that I just rebuilt
now I'm trying to put the tranny onto the engine before I drop it back into the car.
well, the previous owner botched a lot of things up. the tranny bolts that came with the car are not at all the right length. they piled on washers to try and make the bolts they had fit snug
But anyway, I am trying to fix all of this mess. I just need to know the right length of all 4 tranny to block bolts. the threadpitch will be differenc since they stripped it out and the put helicoils in half the bolt holes. But the lenght should be the same.
also, I am only able to get 1 dowel pin in the there, the other place where a dowl pin is supposed to go is helicoiled, so there is no space for the dowel. what do you all suggest I do there? will it be fine without the dowel?
