:cry::cry::cry::pray:i have just bought the sbr 4500 clutch kit "act 2900" from sbr!i put the clutch in and tob and know my car doesnt wanna go into gear? does anyone know what this could be? my friend told me that 2900 presure plates dont go good with street disc's bc of bad engaugement. and that is my problem. i bled my clutch probaly 80 times no air nothing!. then i bought a slave cylinder nothing! i even have a extension rod. can some one please help thanks:pray::pray:

1. Did you cut the flywheel? If you did, do you know if they did the step correctly? Did the cut all the way us to the step?

2.Did you put the disk in backwards?

3.Did you put all the pressure plate bolts in?

4.Did you put the throwout bearing in correctly?

5.Check your pedal assembly.(if your pedal coms up when you pull on it its worn)

6. are all four of the transmission to engine bolts in? Even the 12mm one above the transfercase on the back of the block that goes threw aa hole in the block and threads into the trans, this bolt threads into aluminum and strips easy. A friend of mine years ago strips his out and had the same problem your having, we now call that bolt THE BOLT because of all the trouble it causes, he must of pulled the trans 6 times be fore we figured it out, if you dont have ALL four bolts in the trans will push away (hinge) from the block because the force from the pedal pushes the trans and motor aprart instead of disengaging the clucth. Its easy to forget a bolt if you havent pulled a trans on a awd dsm before

Add to that, an extended slave rod is a band-aid fix & not a good idea to run. Have you checked to make sure your fork is in the correct position? (new fork & pivot? have you shimed the pivot?) Also probably most commonly over looked, have you adjusted the master cylinder rod correctly?

RRE has some good info on clutch fork/pivot info & Jacks Transmissions has a good video posted on the correct way to adjust the master.
