im in the middle of changing the clutch and flywheel. both are brand new, the fidanza aluminum flywheel, and the 4.3 clutch kit. my question is this, since the Flywheel is CNC'd does it need to be balanced with the pressure plate on it? im curious if weather or not i need to take it for a trip through the machine shop before putting it on the car. anyone?

I have the same set up and I didn't need to take it to the machine shop. The only thing you have to worry about is having the right step height on you flywheel, other wise you going to have problems dis-engaging.

step is perfect for the clutch. so i do not need to take it into the machine shop to be balanced before installing it? i just want to be sure, because i would rather have it balanced now, then have to take it back apart to have it balanced if its not already... i just want to make sure since the flywheel from Fidanza is balanced by them during CNC'ing, but i don't know about their pressure plates... anyone know if they do? does anyone have a Fidanza flywheel, paired to a Fidanza PP that they didnt have balanced prior to install? any vibrations or anything?

I have a fidanza flywheel and clutch kit .NO vibrations on my car. I just had a little problem with the step height but got it fixed.

It's a good setup. I don't recall having any chatter with it either for the time I drove it.

curious how you had a problem with step height... fidanza steps their flywheels to OEM spec, and their clutch kits are designed to work with OEM Step height... how did you have an issue?

The step was too low , so my clutch disc didn't have enough space to move and be release. And also my flywheel is an awd one. It is not the first time this happens, I've of other people having this issue.

too my knowledge, Fidanza steps all of their flywheels to OEM spec, and all of their clutches are designed for OEM applications... that just seems odd to me. im not trying to call you out or anything, this is just what the Tech from fidanza told me over the phone.
