6 bolt swap, what about transmissions?

My plans are to buy a 90-92 talon tsi mod it a bit and in a few years when the price of the 95-99 eclipse/talons come down buying one and swaping the 1g motor into it. Well I've done alot of searching here and at vfaq and I can't find any info whether the transmissions from a 2g will fit a 6 bolt or not. I hear about alot of people doing the swap but never heard if the transmissions have to be changed also. Some help from someone who has done the swap would really be appreciated. Thanks.
