well i finally got around to replacing my slipping ass exedy clutch with an ACT 2100, i pulled off the flywheel.. and DAMN! cracks all the way around, heat checking.. you name it.. definatly NOT reusable..
so i need a new flywheel.. i dont care if its stock, lightened, new, used (and capable of being reused of course) but i need it SOON, and i dont have much money to throw at it.. less than $250
i was looking at the RRE lightened stock flywheel.. seems like a steal at a tad under 2 bills (60 bucks extra becuase mine is shat) but ive heard that a shaved stocker can be dangerous.. i dont intend of going over 300hp.. im getting the DJT FMC that is 2 stock 1g intercoolers welded together.. hardpipes, a 14b, and already have intake and exhaust.. THATS IT.. not big power..
so would the RRE unit be sufficiant for me? is the grenading flywheel a real threat to a car such as mine? ill only run at the track say 2 or 3 times a year TOPS and the rest is 1 or 2 runs every other weekend.. not very abusive driving at all..
what yall think?
