grinding sound while accelerating?

I went out and bought a 1992 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD and when im accelerating im getting this grinding sound. Does anyone know what i should check?

My Wife's car has thee sameee problem, If she gets into it, It makees a winning noise and slowly it starteed slipping. After 100's of ppl guessing it when with the fried Vicouse coupling answer. WRONG !!!!!!!! $560.00 from the dealer installeed and still thee same thing. let me know if you find the answer.

Check all the rubber exhaust mounts, if one is broke (which is a very good possiblity since it is 10 years old) it will make your exhaust grind/rattle while accelerating.
