I put an auto engine in my manual car and there is alittle piece sticking out of the crank where the flywheel attaches to crank and I was just wondering if anyone knows how to get this out? I need to get it out soon cause I am wanting to put the engine in by the end of the week and to do that I need the tranny on but the flywheel wont fit on over this little piece I think its something to align the tourque converter on the engine.

that spacer is a beyatch to remove. what i finally did was use a dremel. i got these teeeny carbide bits from ebay, and i cut a groove lengthwise, then whacked it with a hammer and cold chisel, and it came right out. also, if you have the sheet metal piece that goes between the block and the bell housing, right where the starter goes thru is different on a manual trans car. one bolt is in a different position, and you HAVE to use the manual trans piece. dont ask me how i know.
