Crooked driveshaft

My Talon got hit in the right front and I didnt think the damage was that bad but the driveshaft has a bend in it (at the U joint) on the first mounting point after the transfer case is this normal or am I going to have to figure out a way to straighten the motor?

I would get a new drive shaft. Im sure the back half is fine but the front half will need to be replaced. Your going to get some serious vibrations from that and tear some part up as well.
You might want to call "The drive shaft shop" and see if they can hook you up with an aluminum piece for the front half as im sure your going to be SOL trying to find a steel shaft you need unless its custom made. Or you could check some junk yards for it.

Getting a new driveshaft would not fix the problem, the angle is right at the first U joint Im just trying to figure out if the left side of the motor got pushed into the firewall thus making the transfer case go twords the drivers side a bit. I have driven the car slow 1st and 2nd gear(timing belt kinda loose atm) and didnt notice any wierd noises or vibrations

EDIT: Maybe I should clear up what im saying is bent the actual driveshaft is not bent Im trying to figure out if having an angle like that at the Universal joint is normal.

Yeah thats defiantly odd. From what it looks like to me the carrier bearing looks like is offset or something. Check that carrier bearing after the U-Joint. Also check the U-joint itself...maybe it is worn out and lopping to one side?

I don't think the frame is bent because if you look at the side of the T-case compared to the Center Cross member. They look to be parallel.

Ok I would go to a local driveshaft shop and have the realign that carrier bearing. My thread is a little back but its titled, "Twisted driveshaft like a straw". Anyways I had a wreck also that bent a carrier bearing. I didnt really get any vibration like you would think.

I was doing at least 100mph or maybe over at wot in 5th gear. My driveshaft ripped out of the car and broke in half and almost ripped all the way out the car. Pretty much totaled my car. Have that fixed right away.
