slave cylinder for ptt clutch
im trying to find the right slave cylinder to use with my ptt twin disc clutch. they told me to use part number cs12247, the slave for an isuzu trooper. i went to a few different auto parts stores and the part number does not exist in their computers. at one store the part number with the letters take out, (only 12247) brought up a slave cylinder but it doesnt say what it fits and im not sure if its the right one. anybody have anymore input?

I did a google search for " cs12247 " and this is the first thing that popped up. I will leave any further searching to you.
The slave cylinder is part number cs12247 from partsamerica. They are affiliated with advance auto parts who sells it local to me for 29$ and no shipping charges. Just fyi for anyone looking to get the clutch.

There are several vendors that sell the clutch and sell the slave cylinder, have you tried them? I know Slowboy sells them, I think JNZ Does too.

Well, if you cant find it at any store, buy it from a vendor then, hell, contact PTT and purchase it from them.
There are option out there that you are not using. If you buy it now you could have it in 2 days, maybe 3 instead of looking for 2 or 3 and then buying it from a vendor and waiting another 2 or 3, maybe 5 because of the weekend.
Sometimes trying to save that extra $10 isnt worth it.

Can this slave cylinder be used on any DSM transmissions because the one I have on my 2g is crapping out on me and I was wondering if this would be an upgrade of sorts?

i am not trying to be cheap, ptt doesn't sell the slave. i would have bought it from them. the hard part is trying to find it at an autoparts store. they had said you can find it anywhere, but I can't and thats my problem. i could care less about saving $10, but you seem to keep missing the point of the thread

it will fit but it will not do you any good without the PTT. what it does it shorten the throw of the clutch fork so you dont hyper-extend the fingers on the PP, a common problem with the PTT.
