GM Syncromesh/Pennzoil syncromesh

I went to autozone today, and guy told me that they were the same thing, even the same part number. Well, it this is true, pennzoil stuff cost like 8/qt. less for the same thing.
Can anybody confirm this??

I brought it anyways.I'll let you know as soon as it stops raining here so i can change mine out...It cost me $4.99/per at Autozone...Why is your s $8?

I meant that it costs $8 less per quart.

I just put Mobil 1 Syntethic gear oil in my gear box like 4 months ago, and it has not made any difference.
TechT, please tell us if it has made any difference, so that we can all benefit from it.

Yea, I just got enought time to verify it, and it is the same part # as the GM Synchromesh, which is #12345349, and it meets all gm specifications.Here's the link for those who just want to make sure:

I won't be able to do it until the weekend...Sorry....$8 less for me it should cost $1.91....That would be very sweet...At are dealer GM is $9.91/qt.

Ah, yea, at was looking at this performance shop and it was like $12 something. I'll try it this weekend.
