I tried adjusting the shift linkage and I had to tighten front to back all the way and have to slam it into 1st. This morning at 10am I couldn't get it in first at all and at 5:30pm I started to go home and still didnt go in about 30 minutes later I had 1st. Do you think it could be my tranny fluid to thick.
 
Check your Clutch Master Cylinder Fluid level? - Check your Linkage at BOTH ends? - Check your Tranny Fluid level? - & Start out in 2nd until you figure this out or you;ll spend 2008 in the DRIVETRAIN Forum.
 
Yeah fluids are good but the shifter on the tranny wiggles side to side not the way its supposed to. So could I need a new one of those? I have been starting out in 2nd for the last week and its annoying also I need 5th gear for when I go out to work
 
I think it was Valvolien or what dont know how to spell it. thats what the shop put in I've always put in lucus

I messed around with trying to adjust the nut thing in purple in that link and didn't get any better. And that now what I was taloking about I was talking about the things actually on the tranny
 
first gear takes the most pressure to go into gear. so try pumping your clutch. if you can pump it and then shove it into gear its probably your master cylinder is either bad or leaking.

How much was it or can I try some junk yard one. Is there a way to tell if its truely went bad

If the transmission is not FUBAR try taking off the little rubber stopper on the shifter. (a temp fix) If the transmission is good that should give it just a little more through to engage the gears.
 
Front to back, You are getting 2nd & reverse so the side movement is getting you there.
 
Ok well I Removed the stopper and pushed ad hard as I could and when I let out the clutch it just started to grind

Well I would say it's time to pull the drain plug and see how much sparkley brass flows out. I hope none but with a 94 box and if you did not change the shifter arms off the 90 or change the shifter and cables to 91>94 the box could be F@#KED.
 
What box are you talking about. When I put the tranny in I didn't have to adjust anything. I got done then got on the highway and went threw all the gears and had no grinding at all untill I took to to Vince Murphy
 
Box AKA Transmission. I would say thats between You and Mr Murphy.
 
You're going to put a bad name out for his business because YOU are using the wrong fluid, the wrong cables, and possibly the wrong cable bracket? Try doing some research before you try to ruin somebodies business based on assumptions.
