my tranny has a habit of grinding sometimes getting into gears (2nd on downshifts is a b**** sometimes). upshifting usually isn't too bad though. but anyway, i used to think it was my synchros, but it's been doing it into every gear sometimes lately. i've adjusted the clutch engagement, but that only helps a little bit. i don't want it set right at the top of the pedal... it's about 50% down through the pedal movement. anyway, i'm going to check out the linkage to make sure it's not loose or anything. i have the DSM manual and i printed out all the pages pertaining to the shiter linkage. i'm gonna go out and check it out today, but i was wondering what kind of things to look for that might indicate the linkage being loose, and how to tighten it.

btw, the clutch is only 12k miles old. it was put in at 78k when my whole clutch system went to hell (master cylinder went bye bye, replaced master and slave, replaced clutch line w/ another stock one, and got a new clutch... feramic, made by gabor mayer). i seriously doubt the clutch is going out... just as an added note. :)
