Bad/loud sound=Tranny leak..HELP

so the other day i was racing my friend in his turboed integra....yes i beat him...nut anyways we went a few times...the last time i raced him i shifted from 1st to 2nd from a roll, it chirped 2nd (usually does) and at the same time i heard this loud ass noise like i snapped a front axle..i drove it home 2 miles and it shifted fine, no whines, or anything...i noticed a slight smell of gear oil...i got it up on the jack this morning and noticed there is a pretty decent leak..i took the transfer case off and noticed it is coming from the trans....inside the bellhousing...what woud give inside the trans that would case that before i have to tak the damn thing apart..

5 spd manual trans............
