I guess the question would be how much torque are you holding on what style clutch or theirs. I'm shopping around for clutches, I've researched them a lot and even called them. I'd like your input. Put the model, torque you are at (or what psi with what turbo you are using) and any "sidenotes" in it as well. Thanks!

And just in case you are wondering this will be used on a EVO 16G'd Spyder that wont see track use AT ALL. So launches are NOT an issue. Just torque capacity. Thanks!

The South bend clutch will hold!

I have a good friend running 11.0 in a full weight 2g with no complaints. 35psi on a SC61 with the S cover and T4 hot side. This is a stroker motor on top of it.

So throw all the love that 16G can give it.

Hope this helps,

Jake

Go with the DXD SS OFE. It is a great clutch and holds all that 16g will deliver and ask for more. They are pricy but nice clutches that last. More updated technogy in lining and clamping force over the out dated ACT 2600

Forgot to add the SS plate adds extra clamping force (torque) but you may as well just get the standard DXD OFE if your not launching it and not using a big turbo . The standard will be all you will need an have a little stiffer petal if that over stock. I have had mine for 2 years and recently checked it out when doing the trany and was worn but still had life left in it so I put it back on and is fine.

That's what I was hoping to hear. I really didn't want to go the SS's higher clamping route just get. Later in time, but not until I'd need it.

Is there a certian step on the flywheel that these clutches are supose to be used at? Im thinking about droping the 2600 and getting something different, but I still have an ACT flywheel.

I have the DXD TZ kit for my GST. I'm running the 14b on 15psi (I know this really isn't helping but just to back them up), I have been to the track numerous times, made numerous passes, and I have never had the clutch slip on me. I recommend these clutches and I will go to them again when I need to.

turbo90gsx - Yes there is a certain step, though I don't remember exactly what it is. You can call them to find out, wish I could help out more.

I am using .612 and never had a problem.

I've got the rally clutch, basically the stage 1 and it's awesome. The pedal is easier to push than stock but the clutch grabs 10x better than stock. That one I was told is good for up to 300 hp. I'm only putting down 214 though.
