I realize the difference (2mm bigger axles and the mounting pionts are much beefier), but at what horsepower range will this be my weak spot? Anyone that has had there 3bolt break your input would be greatly appriciated.

I broke an axle in mine after a 12.2xx pass early last summer, but I've known guy's break a 3-bolt with just a stout clutch, 3" exhaust and MBC. On the flip side, I've see several 11 sec cars, and at least one run in the 10's on a 3 bolt.

My advice, don't install a 4-bolt until you break your 3-bolt, and expect that to happen every time you launch it until it breaks.

Right after you break your 3-bolt!:D

I broke mine twice (the axles anyway) with the 14b, running 13s. If someone can run 10s on it then I'm impressed! How do you do that? Maybe they beefed up the internals or had custom axles made.

I wasn't meaning you guys in particular. I see it misused all over these boards. "How do I fit big breaks?" "Will I brake my tranny with a ACT2600?" That kind of stuff.

BTW..."maening"????? Couldn't find it in the dictionary! :D
