Syncromax question

My question is will the royal purple syncromax work in my tranny? I asked slowboy cause they recomend it but they couldnt give me a straight answer.

Hays manual says API GL-5 SAE 75W-85W gear lube for the tranny

Royal purple says,
Synchromax is recommended for manual transmissions that specify an automatic transmission fluid or motor oil. It is also ideal for 4x4 transfer cases and / or 2-cycle and 4-cycle motorcycle gear boxes.

Can anyone clarify this for me? Will this work in my tranny and transfer case? 93 GSX 5-Speed.

It will work in the tranny but I would reccomend something a little heavier in the tc. Redline shockproof gear oil seems to work well in the tc.
