First time lauching an awd couple weeks ago with act 2600 with act flywheel and it bogged, so i figured it was me just not knowing how to do it. Then today i let my buddy who owns an evo try it and he did same thing and smelt burning clutch. He is a good driver he had a95 gsx with 2900 and ran 1.8 60ft. clutch has 2k on it. He said maybe too much fuel, from not being tuned, we lauched it at 5500:confused:

yea thats what we were thinking, should i do 6000 or 6500, or is 6500 to much

thanks

I would just go in small increments and find what works best. You might try launching at 5500 a few more times and see if you can make some improvements before trying a higher rpm. It's pretty much just trial and error until you find what works for you and your car.

Well how are you releasing the clutch? I dont think you want to just dump it, then your coming off the line with all clutch and no turbo. This will make it bogg. (unless you have a 2 step) Of course on the other hand you dont want to slip it too much, for obvious reasons. Idealy you want to slip it and dump it so to speak. LOL! I know it sounds crazy, its hard to describe. Slip it enough to put the engine under a load (build boost) and then let it go! You have to develop a feel for it, it takes time.

I have a 2600..launch it at 6000...anything less and you will experience teh bog. Make sure your trans is in good shape.

Yeah your going to bog 2,600 needs to be driven right, I love my clutch it takes a beating.....

I launch at 6,200 and rips outta the hole...
