I have a 1997 Eclipse GSX 6bolt with a 2.3 stroker kit. I was wondering what flywheel you used on the 4g64 crank? Do you just use the stock 6 bolt flywheel or do you have to get the 4g64 flywheel?
Thanks,
-Brian

Ok i found out this crank is actually for an automatic transmission. The raised part of the crank is a ring that is pressed onto the crank. If you are using a manual transmission you have to remove the ring before installing the flywheel. You can cut it out or lock vise grips around the edge of the ring and keep moving 180 degress and beating on the vice grips with a hammer to walk the ring out.

Get a metal hammer and a pair of vice grips. Lock the vice grips on the left side of the ring and swing the hammer from the left. Then lock the vice grips on the right side of the ring but still swing the hammer from the left. Repeat this process over and over. When you swing the hammer you want to hit close to where the teeth of the vice grips are biting but not too close of you will hit the crank. The ring has 2 holes in it one outer and one inner. You will see the inner hole moving away from the crank. The ring walked right out in about 4-5 minutes if that.
