Hey guys,
I have been doing some research on the SBR 2g ss clutch line from the master to slave, but I have a few questions that I could not find answers to. Does anyone have pictures of this line installed? I just removed my entire stock line yesterday and Im looking to put in a ss line. My problem is the sbr line by goodridge is made to a certain length, and I want to see how people route the line. If I don't like how its routed, Im going to make my own line, but buying one is much easier. Thanks in advance.
 
How did you remove the stock metal line? I saw no easy way to remove it without dismantling my entire car!

But yeah, I own that SS line you're talking about and damn was it expensive for what it is.. Mostly likely a lot cheaper to make your own or even buy such a line somewhere else.

I zip tied it along where the stock line went, and then around and behid the stock battery location, then down over the transmission, zip tied to the clutch resevoir then from teh bottom of the resevoir over to the slave.

The line was easy to remove because I'm in the middle of a 6 bolt swap. Any chance you could post some pictures? So would you say that the line has some slack, or is it short? I want to be able to route it my way. Thanks again.
 
why would u need to replace the metal line thats already there? Just replace the rubber line with a 25$ braided stainless line

and to answer your question about length, it's got some slack in it for sure.

I wouldn't bother with any SS line, personally. Unless the rubber hose was rotting or something. I bypassed that rubber line AND the resevoir when I did my clutch line and I didnt not noticed a bit of difference. Maybe My rubber line was just in real good shape, I dunno.
I used the full SS line on mine because the bolt from the stock lines going into my master cylinder was stripped, and crossthreaded right from the factory, I had to cut the line to remove the master.

Well I'm not one to pester, but I sure would appreciate some pictures when you have the time. Good luck with your exams, I know how that goes. Thanks for all your help.
