95rs a/t trans the same as 2.4 a/t trans?

Hey guys, I have a friend who purchased a used automatic transmission from a junkyard for his 95 rs. The trans. came from a 2.4L dodge stratus, aren't these two engines and transmissions different? If anyone can help me out here before he starts to take the old tranny out would be great.

the tranny will work just fine..u can also bolt the 2.4 stratus block up to our tranny's so with that said it will be fine....
