Am i correct in thinking there is a way to check your syncro wear via feeler gauge clearance or something related to that?

Anyway i have a tranny apart that i got recently for cheap from an unknown seller and i have no way of knowing the condition of the syncros. I've taken everything apart and everything in the tranny looks good, now i just need to find a way to check the syncros without taking the input shaft and intermediate shaft apart because i dont have a press, and i really don't wanna deal with taking more gears apart.

Isn't there a way to just check the wear on the syncros by having the shafts out? Any help appreciated.

Thank You.

No problem... I hope to be rebuilding my own tranny shortly. Be sure to save these.
