All years, if you think of it as a W5M33. The codes for 1G and 2G AWD transmissions are the same and they are interchangeable. But many people claim that the internals from a 2G are stronger.

Boxes G1 from G2 differ Secondary (gear toothcount) and Transfer (gear toothcount).
A box from G2 97-98 г.в. Has other fastenings to a body if to compare with G1.
I too read about that that boxes from G2 are stronger on interiors.

p.s. Whether it is possible nqzs to put a box instead of W5M33-2-NPXV and what consequences will be? (pluss and minuses)
