alright the other night i was getting on my car and i went to shift and pushed the clutch in and my rpm's didn't drop at all. I tried to put it into gear and it was rough going in, anything under 3000rpm's car drives perfect but as soon as you get to 3000rpm's and tried to push the clutch in and the pedal was softer than normal and it acts like there is no clutch. none of the gears grind, but at certain rpm's i can hear a rattle from up front. i have replaced the clutch master cylinder, slave master`cylinder. i can't think of anything that would cause this, crankwalk is aways on the back of mind along with maybe a busted pressure plate? any input would be greatly appreciated.

anyone??? another thing is at a stoplight you can put it in first and rev it up and it starts to pull and the`clutch gets soft.

I'll give some more information surely someone has an opinion. Well I just pulled the tranny and looked at the clutch, everything appears to be in order, the TOB looks good and the middle turns nice. The PP has some marks on the fingers from the TOB and some spots on the friction plate, maybe high spots, very shinny spots not burns. The Flywheel has the same shinny spots on the friction plate, the clutch itself looks new, all springs are there and there is hardly any wear. Would those spots cause my problems? Also the pivot ball is rusty and the clutch fork seems like it is loosely on there I have a spare on and I stuck it on there, it fits a little more snug. I can also pull on the flywheel/crank assembly and hear it move in and out but I can't visually see it moving, I'll get a micrometer on that and check for crankwalk while I have the tranny off but I doubt its out of spec since I can't see it moving in and out. Could my problem have to do with these shiny spots on my friction pads??

the shinny spots you see would cause a clutch to slip. they wouldnt cause the clutch no to enguage. the only thing left to do is check your clutch pedal assembly for some play. what you do is push your pedal to the floor and let off. then, go down to the clutch pedal assembly and lift up on the clutch pedal. if it moves towards you at all then its bad and needs to be replaced.

edit: before you go and change the clutch pedal assembly try to adjust the clutch pedal.

hope that helps

Are you saying with the clutch pushed IN that it start to pull the car forward when you rev it up?
If so, we had the same issue when we did a rebuild and forgot to change our pivot ball and fork. If they are old, replace them OR search on how to shim the ball out further.

Those are usually the symptoms of a bad master cylinder.

"I have replaced the clutch master cylinder, slave master`cylinder. "

if he has just replaced those and is not leaking fluid i would go ahead and assume it is not the master. the adjustment might be off as well, but he mentioned after pulling the tranny off that the shift fork seemed loose...that is what wears down and even a little bit of play can cause the same symptoms he is talking about. if he were to shim the ball out (cheap fix) at least he could rule out those.

the problem is when im in netural or any gear for that matter, i can push the clutch in about 1/3 of the way to the floor and the clutch is engaged but if i rev the motor up the car starts to move foward, even if i push the clutch all the way to the floor it starts to move foward at the same rpm. I have replaced the master and the slave, and bleed the entire system.

alright, problem fixed. I replaced the clutch fork, resurfaced the flywheel, and purchased a new OEM clutch kit. In my opinion i believe the cause was not having the flywheel resurfaced when i replaced the clutch last time. Moral of the story you should always take your time and do things right. in the end it's less work. Thanks for all the helpful replies!
