I was wondering if anyone had any pictures of the transfer case where it is known to leak. I've searched but I can't find any good pictures. I'm taking the car in today but it would be nice to find out if I have a case or not. I'm leaking where the xfer case bolts to the engine. As I poor the oil in, I watch it poor out .
P.S. I have metal shavings also

The recall refers to the faulty yoke seal at the back of the transfer case, where it connects to the driveshaft.

If it's leaking where it bolts to the transmission then you have another problem which is not covered under the recall.

I by no means attacked another member, I was thankfull for the information he gave, but people always asume the worst in others, (ie. that idiot phunny didn't search because he's a lazy turd just wanting easy answers.). I always search and read everything I can before I post. And I've read that thread twice. Thanks for the info though.

anyways on the serious side.... why dont you buy a used transfercase. they are very cheap.
