I bought a transmission for my car. I did some searching and found information suggesting that it's a US. GVR4 transmission I bought from the guy. http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=114903&highlight=w5m332nqbk
BUT, I can't find the Mitsu part number anywhere matching that info, doesn't come up in Mitsu CAPS program. The transmission I bought has the following numbers:
Stamped, above the bar code sticker: W5M332NQBK
Right below that number: KB6270
Bar code number: *BKB6270-NQBK*
Mitsu part number on transmission's case: MD720131
Input shaft splines: 20
Output shaft splines: 23
My car is a '90 TSi AWD, built in 11/89. The model number of transmission on MY car's transmission is: w5m332npzs . The transmission is currently in the car.
Did I in fact buy a GVR4 transmission? U.S. or JDM? It doesn't have any switchable brackets (like switchable from 2WD to 4WD JDM transmissions have).
Will this transmission even work in my car even if it's a GVR4 tranny? If it's a GVR4 tranny and it will work, will I have a taller 1st gear? What the hell is going on???
