I've got an issue that's just friggen killing me now, hopefully one of you will help me out...
My tranny was recently rebuilt by John, and I throw the thing in, take it for a test drive, and bam, second gear decides to fall out SLOWLY into neutral. This is not good. Then sometimes when I'm tooting around second gear decides to be LOCKED in and perfect, the way it's supposed to be.
All other gears are good and stay in (First, third, fourth, fifth, reverse), which puzzles me.
Steps I've done:
Make sure the clutch is properly adjusted and bled properly.
Replaced the shifter cables. (Horrible job).
Checked the tranny manually, removing the shift cables and cranking it in that way. When I do that, it doesn't pop out.
It seems like it's just not engaging all the way.
I'm starting to think it might be the radiator hose from my 6 bolt coming in contact with the big ole shifter weight? Should I just take a grinder to it and call it a night?
It's really screwing me up because I need 2nd for autocross.
