A friend of mine had troubles with the manual trans on his 92 Tsi Awd. So we swapped it for another one. The stock clutch disc was shot, so we replaced it with a new 6-puck disc that I had the intention of putting in my own car. We kept the stock pressure plate. After the job was done, everything was fine except that my friend had a little problem getting used to the harsh engagement of the 6-puck.
Then one week later, he comes back to my appartment with this:

How is that possible? Those discs are used on really powerful dsm's but failed on a stockish (air filter, exhaust, 14b at 17psi) Talon!
And that didn't happen on a launch! He was cruising in fourth, shifted to fifth then... no more clutch!
