I'm looking into buying this 1992 Eagle Talon TSi FWD Auto about twenty miles from where I live for $800. It's in good shape except the tranmission may be going out. The seller said, "tranny is questionable due to it slips when you hammer down the gas." So my question is, how much longer do you think it will last, and where could I buy/rebuild a new tranmission for the cheapest price? Thanks.

If the tranny needs to be rebuilt, it just depends on the severity of the problem. I had mine rebuilt last year and it cost about $1000, but mine is also a manual.

Good luck with the purchase. For the money, it doesn't sound like a bad deal...
