The tranny in my AWD talon is garbage, no third or fourth gear. I found a couple trannies for sale some say they have 20 and 22 splines on the input and output shaft, and the other has 23 on both in/output, is there a way to tell which one my car has without taking out my tranny and counting them? :talon:

I don't like to tell people this, but there is so much info out there on this. Use the search function. It works :thumb:

my fault, i was just in a bind, didnt have a lot of time. We got the tranny pulled and took it apart and there was no pin in the 3rd and 4th gear shift fork... idk if that thing just falls out like that, we put in a new pin, seems a lil sloppy but prolly just gunna thow it back toghether and see what else is gunna blow up

The safest way is to take the t-case off and count the splines at the tranny.

I think there should be 20 splines for yours though.

Oops. I was going by the origninal posters' numbers. I knew it was the lower number of the two. If you have anymore issues. Shove it.
