I m ready to install my centerforce clutch on my 2g gsx is there anything I should prepare myself to make it easier. Im a rookie thats only changed a clutch on an old subura. Please any forsite of problems let me know, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Take the back motor mount bracket off the tranny first and you will be ok. It's 3 17mm bolts take these off before you remove any other mounts

make sure to take out flywheel and resurface it to 0.610+-0.002". Do it for the sake of Mike Welch at RRE who repeatedly tell people horror stories about flywheel chattering and blowing up. Inspect flywheel bolts, what a heck replace them anyway. Applied locktite (red) to flywheel bolt. Torque them to spec.

I've only do 1st gen trannys, but watch out for the reverse switch when putting it back in. I broken a couple of them putting my tranny back in. It usually happens when the tranny is being a b!tch and doesn't want to fit. Its a tight but it will fit with persistance.

it's much easier if you raise the engine a little bit. Use the long 14and 12mm mm bolts to guide the b$tch in. Turn the bolts slowly.
