I have looked all over a lot of forums and have found how to do a 2G AWD tranny swap, a 1G tranny swap, and swaps for n/t to turbo, but here is what I need..

I wrecked my 95 Eclipse GS, and just bought a 96 RS with a 98 n/t engine. The auto tranny in the new car is shot, and I want swap it with my 95 5-speed to fix the problem ASAP. From what I have found on other swaps, I know I have all the parts I need...but will I need to change the ECU, axles...maybe more? If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it...even just a link to a good tutorial would be fine.

Thanks!!!

I second this, my auto tranny is slipping on my 99 Gs-T and i would like to find out how to do a swap ,but i cant find any thing talking bout a 2 gen a/t to m/t. please help, if u seen a faq about it, post it please

I'm not very familiar with the 2g's but I know some about the 1g's and I am in the middle of a AT/MT swap and from what I have found out all you have too do is take the AT computer out. someone correct me if I'm wrong. just trying to help.

Thx for the reply, but reason why im tryin to find a link to a forum or somethin that explains the swap is that like on the 1g it says u can align the shift cables thru the firwall, but what im trying to find out, is if small details like that are the same on the 2g's :dsm:
