I have a 1996 NT Eclipse that I'm going to be installing a Star Stage-II turbo kit to. This kit is said to produce around 260 HP to the wheels so since my old stock clutch (with over 100,000 miles on it) is about OVERdue for replacement, I'm looking to get a stronger clutch. I see in the Non-Turbo Performance Parts section that I can get an ACT clutch kit, but every place I have asked has told me that it's not available for my NT. Someone please help me find somewhere that I can get a NT Clutch kit that won't kill my left leg or my wallet. Thanks guys. :D

The only alternatives I'm aware of are clutch masters and centerforce, but they WILL both kill your wallet...n/t's have a modular clutch, so you're basically paying for a new flywheel when you buy a new clutch.

FYI, a flywheel from a '95 neon is supposed to be a bolt-on affair. It will allow you to do away with the modular set up and save you some $$$.

Is getting a new flywheel on a N/T going to help out with performance that much? I know on turbo it revs faster, reducing turbo lag etc, but on an N/T is there really any benefit to revving faster?

I'm in the same boat looking for a clutch for my N/T, and since I'm basically stock I'm not sure if I want to go with a stronger clutch and be stuck getting a nice flywheel, or just getting a stock replacement.

Also, I talked to my tranny guy today, and he mentioned some Dikon (sp?) clutch, it's basically an OEM company that makes heavy duty stock clutches. I'm just looking for a nice clutch that's gonna grab good.

I have a 96 Talon ESI, the clutch is messed up, when i turn the ignition, I have to be in 1st to get it on and go, so, I am in the market for a new clutch, I also plan on getting my Talon a stage 3 turbo, please make a suggestion. Thank You.
