bah more trouble, havnt even driven the car far...sheesh..
anyways was driving normally, shifted great, transmission worked perfect...parked the car at my buddy's place and an hour later went out to go back home...but the tranny would not shift into any gear...it would shift perfect with the car off...

im just gonna bleed the clutch (it needed bleeding but i dont think it was this bad)
if that doesnt work i guess i'll have to pull the tranny (again!!) since it might be the clutch spring i was told (but its an 850mile old act2100) so it might be okay

just wondering if any of you guys had this problem since tranny issues are encountered by everyone...
i know for a fact that its not the tranmission becasue it was perfect when i shut off the car...

oh yeah its got new master/slave clutch cylinders too...

one more thing. the gears are easier to get in when the car is moving and is almost impossible to get it into gear when the car is idling stationary (unless the car is turned off- which in that case it's like butter)

i have the same problem and have gotten little response from anyone on this board. i'd say bleed it again, as thats what i'm planning on doing, and then go from there.

yeah i am going to bleed it and adjust the rod.
i will update this post with what i find for all the other people. the car is literally not driveable right now due to this problem.

Your clutch isnt releasing.

Get someone else to push the clutch in while your under the car, check to see if and how much the release lever moves.

reblead the system like you said, and make sure you dont have any leaks.

Also check where the release lever is on the tranny. Is it in the center of the hole in the bell housing or more to one side or the other?

That will all help diagnose the problem.

fixed! just bled the system and adjusted the rod behind the master cylinder right near the gas pedal and all is well now.

i was just going to firmly suggest exactly that when i read your post. your clutch wasn't disengaging at all.
