Ok wisemen..
I have a problem that I cannot solve.
Somedays my clutch grabs good and solid and on other days my clutch will spin to rev limiter in the upper gears... its weird because Im thinking if there is enough power to spin the clutch it should spin all the time. This is not the case though.... it only spins once in a while and I dont get it...
any help would be appreciated! Thanks

check your clutch pedal play and make sure that you have plenty of room up top for it to fully disengage and them some. The 2Gs have a valve on the master cyl that needs to be uncovered to let pressure off the ToB
check out the bottom of this page for more info:

Also you may want to bleed the system to get any moisture out, especially if it happens on hot days.

I never have. The woman who owned the car before me had a new clutch put in the car about 1k mi before I bought it. Ive put about 5k-8k on it .. I think.. something like that.. I would think when they changed the clutch before they would have done that...
I might just turn the boost down an sell her and get an Audi A4 or something.. I love my Talon but I always seem to run into some stupid issue.. anyone wanna buy a 12 sec talon with all brand new mods?(check bio or whatever) oh yea I just got another set of OZ wheels I sell with it too.. I need something a bit better made..
BTW it only seems to do this on cold days.. Im thinking its just making to much power for the clutch to hold.. oh yea.. another BTW the car only has 40k on it :D

Once you see maintanance costs on A4 just to be eligible for warrantee, I think you'll change your mind. Audi's should only be bought new, with complementary services, otherwise you'll go broke over it.
(Place where I work has connections with Audi Credit union, and most employees here had a chance to get an Audi cheap, well now they're all selling 'em, because complementary services are over !)

Bleeding wont help. Air in the line would make the clutch more engaged ;) Check the setting on the adjustment rod. Any tension on it puts constant pressure on the TOB, which not only wears it out fast, but could cause it to be partially disengaged. That RRE link is required reading :)

brake fluid is hygroscopic and will 'pick up' any moisture you give it. this lowers the boiling point of the fluid and can let the brake fluid boil, raising the pressure in the line. When this happens, force is applied to the ToB and starts disengaging the clutch, allowing slippage.
The clutch is fully engaged when it has no pressure on it and the fingers are allowing the friction surface on the pressure plate to be fully 'clamped down'.

We're talking about the clutch not the brakes. In this case we dont have a 500 degrees caliper to heat up the fluid ;) I doubt water in the clutch fluid would ever boil. It doesnt even get near the clutch... Interesting thought though.
