major ass LINKAGE problem with 90? tran in 93?!?!

ok.... i THINK this tranny is actually a 90.... and its in my 93 now. the linkage that goes side to side on the stick and moves the lever on the tranny in and out seems WAY to long?! wtf?! i have the 91-94 shifter, possible 90 or 91 cables (not a ####ing clue ), im pretty sure a 90 tranny, and the 91-94 tranny bracket, and ive tried the 90 and 91-94 arm(long and shorter). on the tranny it shifts fine into the gears no problem, but theres no way the linkage will line up . im gonna try the 90 bracket as soon as i get my greasy little hands on one, but for w/e reason doubt itll solve this? cuz wont it put the arm that actually puts it in gear at an extreme angle and bind/break the cable? i could have this sweet chick magnent on the road right now

nobody knows y the 'normal' swap isnt an option? i guess ill try to get the other shifter then.

The shifter and select cables from a 90 are definately different from 91 and up. That may be your problem. I believe you can use the same cables but I think you have to change the brackets on the tranny

so the cables out of a 90 are the ones with 2 adjusters correct? and 91 and up only have it on 1 cable? that is what i had b4 in my car. and the shifter was not hitting the rubber bump stops. i swapped to the cables i have now with 2 adjusters and they were equal length and look identicle, even the bracket DIRECTLY holding the cables(not the one on the tranny itself). and i could get into all the gears perfect with it b4 swapping trannies. now with the new one in there it actually hits the rubber bumps up and down but side to side seems like the cable needs to be shortened. i think ill try the 90 CABLE HOLDING bracket or the 90 shifter.

3 DIFFERENT CABLE BRACKETS??!?!? i thought 2! i mean the ones that actually hold the cables. well its shorter with the smaller gap but the 2 are a little off of the other short one i had so.......... DING DING we have a weiner! THANK YOU JESUS!
