Quick Q for ACT 2600 owners.

ACT 2600 owners: What did you have the machine shop step your flywheel to? .610 is the most used correct?

Theres a thread in the tech articles that says the step should be .612.

haha no need, man, i wasnt trying to be mean, i was just saying what the step would be and where i got the info from because i didnt know either, just so happend that you had the same question i did.

Ive always went with .610 call any dsm shop and thats the first number they will throw at you when you ask them about the same question you asked here.

.612 might be a hair too much. I'd suggest .610 since I've put about 10 2600's into cars and used .610 and never had problems.

I believe the flywheel has already been sent off, hopefully it'l be ok. .612 supposedly should give a little better disengagement. This is the main reason I decided with it.

Okay well screw what I told the Mechanic to step the flywheel to. I guess he felt he wanted to do it his way. Now I have NO IDEA what my flywheel step is!!!!

Anyone know the stock step? I'll assume assume mine is a little bit deeper than that.

Trust no-one! Next time i'm doing it myself....I don't have the money to keep playing this pull the tranny out game! :thumbdown

I talked to ACT about this over the summer. They recommend .610 for the ACT 2600 with the street disk.

Why is it when one might sense someone is upset, they portray a cunning statement, in which said person is aware of the negative affect it will cause ahead of time?
