I know that a 1990 shifter and the 91+ shifters are different, but I was wondering if I need different cables for 1990 shifter I have, or can I use cables from a 91+. I recently broke a cable at the tranny end, the housing keeps coming out and the cable bends, is there any way to fix that?

Ok I'm dumbfounded here. Why in the HELL would you put a 90 shifter in a 91 car? The 90 shifter is all sorts of ####ed up.

Everyone I know who owns a 90 goes out there way to get a 91~94 shifter for there 90 :p

They shift so much better.

Also ya the cables are diffrent. If you got a 90, u need 90 cables. If you got a 91~94 shifter u need 91~94 cables..

Someone did an automatic to 5-speed swap on my car and I guess used everything from a 90 to do the swap. So if I get a 91-94 shifter and cables do what do I need on the tranny end?
