So my clutch bit the big one tonight. I need a new one.....any recommendations for a 99 GSX? Anybody have any opinions about Centerforce clutchs(I can get them cheap)???? Thanx

I guess I'm just the odd ball.....but I would HIGHLY recommend you consider the Spec clutches.

It's a company in Alabama.....they make performance clutches for DSM's and many other cars.

I have their Stage 3 clutch...>>>It's a 4puck sprung hub carbon disc with a ~2400lb pressure plate. (cost me only $300/shipped_)
--The clutch feel totally stock--pedal pressure wise...and GRABS when you want it to....you can still slip the clutch...but this clutch is strong. (If your car makes big power....this clutch will work. I actually spun all 4 tires launching it a while back.

I also have two other friends I know right here in Atlanta, GA that have the Spec clutches. One has the stage 2 and another with the Stage 3--> they both have NO complaints...they love them!

Check out their products: http://www.specpwr.com
Give them a call and ask anything you need.
