I have a FWD 95 Talon TSi and I have a minor problem, I think. Well the car starts but will not go. What I mean by that it feels as if the clutch is not gripping. I start it, put it in first, then let off the clutch completely, but it doesn't die. Could it be the fuel sensor chip? Needs Transmission fluid? New CLUTCH!? Any help is greatly appreciated, I want to drive my car again!

Do you smell anything burning?? Is there any grinding noises? What happen if you let off the clutch completely and rev it??

I haven't reved it up when I let off the clutch yet. I will try that tomm. and post up the results. Before hand, when it did go, my rpm's would go up but the motor wouldn't match it, ya know? And I would smell something odd, so that is what leads me to believe that it might be my clutch disc or something related..

sounds like clutch for sure mine did samne thing once ,but you might want to check your drive shafts .i had a friend have his go out and his car would go in gear but wouldnt go anywhere hope this helps,.

Thanks for the tip bro. Hopefully I don't have to replace the WHOLE shibang when it comes to replacing the clutch. Me have no money and no job. :(

This once happened to my car also. For me, it was my differential. One of the gears was missing every tooth, so the car didnt move an inch. It did make a very unpleasent grinding sound though. Most susally a clutch wont go out like that. They usually slowly go out. But I suppose it's pobbible. If you clutch is slipping so bad to where the car wont move, then you;ll smell it burning. Grinding noises might mean your diff. And make sure you check your shift linkage. Does it seem to want to go into gear very easily?

Dude, you need to check your linkage. Sounds like it's stuck in nuetral. Doesnt sound like it will be exztremely expensive to fix. !!BeWaRe!! - A DSM can very easily financially screw you. Good luck man. :thumb:
