ok, i have an ACT 2100. First off, whenever I'm in first or second and I disengage the clutch its kinda rough. like if the clutch was still holding on and i forced it out (i know that this is what's supposed to happen but its supposed to be a smooths transition and this isnt smooth its almost like im forcing something to happen thats not supposed to happen) i also hear kinda of a clunk. If anyone knows WTF I'm talking about here (cuz I know I'm not doing a good job here, but any idea) please reply.

Also, I thought that the 2100 was a little heavier than stock. My clutch pedal seems to be lighter, not mushy, just really light.......is that right? or did the mechanic just screw me and put a cheap ass clutch in there? thanx guys

Have you tried bleeding the clutch yet?

If you engage the clutch (press it down and shift gears) when you goto release the clutch it dosen't disengage? If it dosen't then you might want to bring it back to the "shop" that did the install and let them know it's not disengaging.

it disengages....in the middle of pedal travel (or half way up) and it engages there too. the thing is i thought these clutches were supposed to be heavier......this one feels really light.....like i said the pedal feels fine just really light, does that sound right to you guys?

My new ACT 2100 feels = to my stock clutch as far as pedal pressure is concerned.

I dunno what to tell you, but my new clutch (installed today :thumb: ) is kinda jolty. Feels like it grabs really hard. For some reason it doesn't like engine braking either.

O-well I only put 50 miles on it today

I bet my clutch will seat and it'll be all good.

Hope you get yours worked out.

Yeah I was driving my friends 1G with a 2600 the other day. Compared to the stock clutch, you really gotta feather it to engage smoothly into each gear or else it'll grab really harsh. We had some problems with it at first because I guess someone forgot to put one of the bolts for the tranny and so when you pushed in the clutch, the transfer case would rub against the flywheel...also we noticed that if you forget those washers for the shift cables, it can cause the shifter to be off by a lot. We lot one bolts for it and it wouldn't go in 1st or 2nd.

On my bros car, he has a RPS MAX clutch...supposedly rated around 2500. The pressure isn't that bad but it grabs a lot smoother then the ACT2600.
