ACT 2600 owners this is for you! Help me out here!!!

All the people running the ACT2600 clutch....do yall have this problem? When my clutch heats up from a lot of stoplight driving in the city when I go so slowly let out the clutch to go from the stoplight the car shakes pretty badly and it pisses me off . it only does it when the clutch is hot from alot of stop and go and in the mornings and after sitting a while it doesnt. just wondering why it does this and if it does this with anyone else. any fix? thanks

I wish mine worked that well. I'm looking into a different brand myself. Sorry, I'm just bitter. This thing has only 800 miles on with no launches. ACT sucks. :thumbdown

I've driven about 3 ACT clutches into the ground (2 different cars), and the only one I had a problem like that was on the 2900. I believe it was the way I broke it in that caused this to happen. You can't really just wear the clutch in, you have to condition it correctly, especially when it comes to these cars. A little abuse is better than a lot of baby-ing.

the clutch is good to me its the 4th type ive had and the only one to stand up the the power i have (2 stocks and a clutchmasters). so your basicly saying its gotta stay like that? there isnt anything I can do? when i put it in i never actually broke it in...i didnt slip it or do any launches but i got on it a few times....

800? that's alot!!! I only got 247 out of mine... didn't even get to break the damn thing in

mine chattered alittle when I was breaking it in but after several hard launch it's smooth as stock clutch.

I pulled it out today. The pressure plate is FUBAR. What a POS.

i dotn care about the breakage now...i have one and its doing good...i want to know how to get rid of the chattering when it gets hot when taking off regular from stop lights???
