where could i get a new/used tranny for a 97 talon AWD TSi 5spd for the best price. Links would be helpful thanks.
 
search dsmtrader.com on a daily basis, as well as the various "For Sale" sections of the different boards. I was able to pick a spare for my 92 AWD for $300 this way. May be a little more for a 2G trans, but not too much if you look and reply quick enough to posted ads.
