Anyone know if a 2g AWD tranny will fit in a MKII MR2 rear trunk??? Plan is to take my friend's tranny to Shep's in the back of my Eclipse. However, it's supposed to rain real hard, and my Eclipse headlights/taillights don't work. Only other car I've got easily accessible is the MR2...

I don't know what the size of the trunk in an mr2 is but i would think its pretty small so i am not sure if it will fit
here is a pic i found on here once with the tranny and xfer case on it. It might be able to give you some kind of idea.

I've owned an MKII MR2 and taken the tranny out of my awd dsm, and it will be a really close fit. The only part im worried about is the bellhousing because the trunk is pretty deep, but it isnt very wide. Personally I'd try to get ahold of a car with a normal sized trunk so I wouldn't have to worry. Good luck with whatever you end up doing.
