Spline count on transfer case

Ok, so I need a new transfer case. Forgot to check the fluid in it and it leaked or something and ####ed up a bearing. Anyways, I counted the splines on the transmission side and there are 23. Then I counted the splines on the driveshaft side and there are 21. Do I have a 23 or 21 spline transfer case?
