only rear wheels spinning (HELP?)

I was staged to race a cobra on saturday night and when i let the clutch out only the rear wheels spun. Could that be the center diff or could it be something else. Any help would be apreciated

I would think that if it were the center diff only the fronts would spin... That's really odd.

Could it be an axle? I still havent checked the car its been raining out for days.
